December 2019: Low cost therapy offer closed
Thank you for your interest in my low cost therapy spaces, which are now fully booked.
If you are in need of counselling at a reduced fee I recommend Listening Post in Cheltenham or Gloucester and Cotswold Counselling in Cirencester. These charities offer therapy for up to 9 months and individuals make weekly donations according to their means.
November 2019: Low cost therapy opportunity
I am offering 1-2 concessionary places to start in January 2020 for 40 sessions, which is equivalent to approximately one calendar year. If you are someone who would like long term therapy, but cannot afford standard fees (usually £50 per session) this may be something that would suit you. The actual fee will depend on individual circumstances.
Due to studying a Masters Qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice at the Minster Centre in London, I have a requirement to demonstrate my ability to do long term psychotherapeutic work. This means that I am looking for 1-2 new clients who are willing to be my “training clients” starting from January 2020, and to secure this commitment I am prepared to offer a reduction in fees.
Who is this for?
Are you interested?
If you are interested, please contact me by email in the first instance, making sure that you mention the low-cost therapy offer, and I will send you some more details about the next steps.
Any low-cost therapy spaces will be offered based on assessment of your suitability for psychotherapy. This is because not all presenting issues are suitable for this kind of work, and I may need to refer you to an alternative service. Likewise, you will have a chance to spend time talking and meeting with me before you decide whether you want to proceed or not.
About me and why I am doing this training:
I am an experienced and qualified therapist, and have been working with clients for the past 9 years. I started my private practice in 2013 and have seen many clients for long term therapy throughout that time.
All therapists who are members of a professional body have to commit to continuous professional development, and my decision to pursue advanced level training is part of that. I would also like my professional qualifications to reflect the work that I do, and have an opportunity at this stage in my life to study further.
I am studying an MA in Advanced Clinical Practice, Counselling and Psychotherapy. The course offers an exciting opportunity for qualified practitioners to deepen and expand their knowledge and experience, bringing their practice up to date with the latest research and developments in the field.
